We will bring you all the details as soon as they break.

Alan Shearer on Liverpool's title claim

Former England striker Alan Shearer has said he believes Liverpool should not be handed the title if the coronavirus outbreak prevents them from completing the season.

The Premier League has been suspended until April 3 with the Reds 25 points clear at the top of the table.

And while Shearer admits it would be incredibly tough for Liverpool to take because they have waited 30 years for a league title, he is confident it is the only fair way to go about it given the circumstances.

“As harsh and as horrible as that would be for some clubs, none more so than Liverpool, it is the only outcome," he said.

“If you cannot complete the fixtures then you cannot go handing out titles or consider relegating anybody.

“People have spoken of bringing Leeds and West Brom up from the Championship — but there would be uproar from other clubs.

“Sitting seven and six points above third with nine games to go, there is no guarantee they would finish in the top two. For Liverpool, it would be incredibly harsh.”

France considering lockdown

The Daily Mail are reporting that France are considering a complete lockdown.

France's health director Jerome Salomon has described the situation as ‘extremely worrying and deteriorating very quickly’.

He also spoke about the fact that a number of people in Paris are not following the instructions to stay at home.

He added: "France will very quickly be overrun if people do not conform to the new measures. Cases are doubling every three days.

"A lot of people have not understood that they need to stay at home, and this low level at which people have adhered means that we are not succeeding in curbing the outbreak of the epidemic."

Premier League Hall of Fame ceremony cancelled

Premier League's Hall of Fame ceremony has been cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The inaugural event was set to induct the first two players into the brand new Hall of Fame in London on Thursday, but will now not go ahead.

All elite football in England has been postponed until April 3.

Second UK MP tests positive for coronavirus

Kate Osbourne, the MP for Jarrow in the north-east of England, has revealed she has tested positive for coronavirus.

She took to Twitter to make the announcement, saying: "I have been diagnosed with Coronavirus (#covidー19uk) following a period of self isolation and subsequent testing.

"I will continue to self isolate until I have fought off the illness, but in the mean time I would encourage everyone to band together and  support the most vulnerable in our communities.

"The NHS are urging people to stay at home for 7 days if you have either a high temperature or a new, continuous cough.

"If you are displaying any symptoms yourself, please self isolate and visit http://111.NHS.UK or call 111 for advice.

"To all of my constituents, you can still contact me and my staff by emailing [email protected]

"Thank you, Kate."
